To Post a Job Announcement

Once an employer has created an Educate Kansas Employer Account and an Employer Contact(s), they can create and post a job announcement. The employer’s description and contact information is automatically linked to the job announcement so that this information is not recreated. It is stored in the Educate Kansas system.

To Post a Job Announcement:

  1. Login to your Employer Account
  2. Click on the Main Profile button in the upper right corner of your screen.
  3.  Click on Post A Job.
  4. Type the following information in the Post a Job form:
  5. Title:  Include a title that clearly communicates what the job is.
  6. Job Contact:  From the dropdown menu, select the contact person for the position.  If you need to add a new contact, click on add a contact here.
  7. Job Description:  Include any description of the job’s primary responsibilities and any other information that may be helpful to the applicants.
  8. Salary Description:  Provide information related to the salary of the position.
  9. Bonus Description if applicable.
  10. Benefits Description:  Include details about benefits provided by the employer and whether financial assistance is provided to cover a portion of the benefits.  If no benefits are available, leave the text box empty.
  11. Use the dropdown menu to identify the start date of the position.
  12. Use the dropdown menu to identify the date that the job position will expire (the date you would like for the posting to no longer be advertised on Educate Kansas and/or the date you expect applicants to apply by).
  13. Identify whether or not benefits are paid by clicking yes or no.
  14. Identify whether or not the position is to be displayed online.  Don’t forget this step as your position will not be displayed and/or posted.
  15. Identify the geographical region that the position is located.  Choosing statewide is only applicable if the position requires statewide travel of the employee.  Refer to the regional map of Kansas provided if necessary.
  16. Click Preview Your Job Post.
  17. Once you click Preview Your Job Post, you will see a preview of the job.  You can either go back and edit the job or make the job live.  If you make the job live, you will see a notice of New Job Posted. Post another job?.  The position is live and now searchable by applicants.
